What Would Jordan Do? ;)
Im guessing when it comes to recording these guys (DT) just hit the record button and go (after the hours of setup ofcourse). But my question is, in terms of software, what kinda stuff is there out there for moulation and notation with some of the superior keybords?
And in terms of Jordan's stuff, would all his amazing work, and solo work be played or noted into the comptuer? beucase I do know he keeps pretty wicked Mac computers around.

I bet he plays everything just because he can, and it saves a lot of time instead of notating it into the computer.
He might not even have to quantize it, if he'd ever do that.
If you wanna get professional results you're better of getting a mac indeed.. less latency for audio and more stable for most audio progs. Buy retails, dont download copys, you'll regret that crap, and eventually its worth that load of cash you pay for it.
Man if we only had so much more money!

Oh yea definalty. Thx for the tip. My other question is,....
Well, soon im gunna be blowing a wad. of cash and buying myself a new keyboard, im thinking of going Kruzweil or Triton on this one, but Ive had afew other brands reccommened to me which Im going to check out.
What I would like to do, is after I have my keyboard and all set up and whatnot, when it comes to either recording or notating on the computer, will I be able to notate and write a song using the sounds from my keyboard? As in notate it, then use the keyboard samples? (Instead of directly recording myself actually playing what i write?) Less mistakes and timing problems this way lol

Yes- you can have a sequencing or notation program run out to the synth to trigger its sounds. MIDI is so flexible that most of the time the answer to anything is yes, with the right software & hardware.

Ahh yea ..there is another idea im looking into. "Software". So far (for the last few years) all my recording has been done while I play the songs myself. Which isnt bad, and all the notation ive done has been with a midi program which gives me thoes typical 120 midi sounlds...whatever...
Any roccommendations out there for what program has the power and flexibility for the midi triggering and all, and ofcourse is efficiant?

Well, soon im gunna be blowing a wad. of cash and buying myself a new keyboard, im thinking of going Kruzweil or Triton on this one, but Ive had afew other brands reccommened to me which Im going to check out. If money is no object, I would argue that a Kurzweil K2600 is considerably superior to the Korg Triton. The question does depend, to an extent, on what you're planning to do. If you like to just play presets, a Kurzweil PC2x would probably suit you nicely. If you like to play presets but be able to tweak them a bit more, the Korg X5 is a great machine. If you like to play presets and also be able to edit and create sounds quite extensively, the Korg Trinity or Triton is your thing. And if you want to be able to build and edit sounds extensively with a hugely powerful synth engine with bags of controllers, and you can face a steep learning curve technology-wise, the Kurzweil K2600 is right for you.
Right now, I'm waiting for the Korg X5 to appear at the right price on Ebay, and then my keyboard setup is complete, to my mind - a Kurzweil K2000, a Kurzweil Micropiano and the X5. With that setup, I've got a great sampler/synthesizer, a great piano sound, and a really nice controller keyboard / ROMpler. Of course, I'm not really a keyboardist, I just like to write music on keyboards, so my opinion may not count.
