It's a roland rs-50. Usually goes for 1350 canadian retail, But I'm getting it for 850$ clean. pretty sweet deal eh? (Yes I know alot of you have keyboards that'll kill mine, but I'm poor) Can't wait to dive into it and get composing. I'm new to synths, so this is all very exciting for me, as I've been on acoustic piano, and a shitty 100$ yamaha piece of shit for my whole life. Well tell me what you think, oh and If any of you own one of these babies, could you maybe gimmie a few pointers, I'm very lost :P See ya.

Nice. I was thinking of getting one of those as my next keyboard to replace the mighty Casio, but they just released the Juno-D which looks to be the same thing, only $200 cheaper and with "improved feel" (according to the site). I gotta find me a shop that's got one to go try it out. I've tried the rs-50 (and rs-70...same thing plus a sequencer) and they're nice boards...just not affordable for me right now.

The Juno-D's feel is indeed better than on the RS boards. Not as good as on a DX7, but very nice!
The Juno-D is a great board for the price!

Thanks everyone!
Yeah usually this thing would be way out of price range for me, but like I said, there was surplus stock of them and roland issued a statement alowing them to seel them for almost 50% of the retail price. Never expected a deal that nice. Samples soon folks, still don't have the cables, but I have alot of materiel, so just you wait.
