I have been playing piano for abou 12 years, and about 3 years ago, I got the Yamaha EX-5 for christmas(nice present). Since then i have involved my self in two pretty serious bands, and am trying to get into the technical aspects of keyboards. Up until recentally when i purchased my PC88MX I had just been doing simple stuff with the keyboard. I used the factory voices, and typed in the number for the voice that i wanted. However now that I am in a pretty heavey prog metal band, i need to do more, and change voices a lot more.

I hooked a midi cable between the two keyboards, and have played around with it, and read the manual and such. However i am still very lost with all of this. I have figured out how to play all of the voices from my yamaha in my kurzweil, but i can't figure out how to play seperate voices with out unplugging my midi cable. I would like to be able to assign the midi out volume to one of the sliders on my pc88mx. However i have no clue how to do this. If anyone could point me in the right direction, or if they have any other ideas that would be great.

I would also like to be able to program my voices in a sequence so i can use a foot switch. I was wondering how i can program sounds from my yamahaa, and also include sounds from my kurzweil in the setup.

i know that is a lot to ask, and i probably sound like a fool. However, i am an experienced musician, and have a pretty vast technical understanding. So you don't have to speek completely dumb to me, but if there is anyone who could shed some light on any part of my issues that would be greatly appreciated.

thanks so much.
