Anyone have access to an absynth tutorial thats really reader friendly? i really want to learn Absynth and FM7 so i can start doing some patch work :)

Have you tried the NI website? They have a community where you can post questions, and they often have tutorials on the products.

I wouldn't try to read the algebra, unless you like that kind of stuff. Just try to note the relationships between pitch and spectra.

The only tip I have for you, is that it's going to be easier to start with the stock patches (which have nicely optimized envelopes) and play with the other parameters(e.g. pitch, routing, envelope depth), before you start messing around directly with the multi-stage envelopes. That way you can learn the timbral stuff first and get your ear acclimatized.
