I've been working on this for awhile, and I'll be performing it tomorrow in a recital. I just hooked up my keyboard and recorded a quick snidbit to share with you all. It's only about a minute long, because I just used Windows Sound Recorder for it and it cuts out after a minute of recording, and I'm too lazy to get Cakewalk up and running again right now. :p
It's a little sloppy, but it was a one-take recording done on synth action keys (classical on a Casio keybed = yikes!). Sounds a lot better when I'm on a real piano, but this is good enough that you all won't laugh at me too much.

I'm not really familiar with classical compositions, but I think I heard a recording of Jordan playing this tune... :D
I'm far from laughing at you, man... this thing ain't easy.
You still need work for it to sound as it should, but this is amazing imo... probably because I couldn't play this half as good as you do...

Nice work man, cool playing and the piano sound was real nice, was it from the Casio or triggered from another intrument ?, either way very cool, I could never sit down and learn this type of music. All the best for your recital, hope you blow their socks off !!!..... :D

I think it was a bit uneven, and a little slower than it's supposed to be, but it just might be the keyboard?

I play it slower than it "should" be. I think the tempo marking is q=144 on the sheet music, but I usually play it between 105 and 115, just because it sounds better to me that way (plus I can't play the middle section any faster than that  )
It didn't sound nearly how I would like to have recorded it just because I can't really control the dynamics well at all on a PoS keybed like what's in my Casio.
And Axe2Grind, yes, it was the Casio piano sound.
Thanks for all the compliments guys. I'll let you know how the recital goes.

The recital went great. The piano was a Kawai baby grand, and man did that thing sing!
It was me and like 16 or 17 other students that my teacher has each playing a song. Some of them were playing beginner songs, and others were playing tricky classical stuff like this. One kid did the Minute Waltz (heard me do it awhile ago and wanted to learn it...ego boost! ) and it was flawless except for one flub in the middle.
So yeah, it was a good recital...everyone did great, and it was cool to hear from people at all skill levels.
I played this and then a duet of Autumn Leaves with my friend on guitar. The Etude went great...a few mistakes towards the middle, but overall one of the best times I've played it (much better than that clip). Probably because of that piano...twas quite the awesome instrument. I wish I had some way to record it and then upload it :?
Autumn Leaves went good too. My solo on it was decent, but the intro kicked ass. I played through the A section twice as a piano solo, masking the head in chords and adding runs galore, and the way that piano sung kept me hyped up and so I played better and then it sung better and I played better and...
I want that fricken piano!
That was nice. Certainly beyond what I'd play in a live situation. As far as classical goes, I'm playing easy arrangements of songs like Canon in D :o
You need a better recording program. If you're interested, I have some recording software that I don't use anymore (PowerTracks 8.0). I'd be happy to mail the software and manual to you. If you're interested, just email me your address:

Ooops  I see you already have Cakewalk.

yeah it was weird hearing the beginning a little slower then I am used to but still, very impressive playing, learning this piece of quite an accomplishment
