Yeah, you're right. As the DVD cover states he's truly a "legend of rock".

Hello :)

Oh yeah, iīve got that Dvd for almost a year, its very cool, but i would like to see the camera showing rick wakemenīs fingers playing those wonderfull songs, and i wouldnīt like to see those strange vocalists... man.. i donīt think that they can sing very well :? As far as i know, rickwakeman was abusing alchool by that time (as you can see by the beers on top of the piano), and the vocalists on his albums were his bar mates.

I didn't know that... I saw the beer cans on the piano... yet his playing is really wonderful and as for the singers... well, maybe they weren't the best singers in the world, but they were very famous at that time.

I totally agree! The only parts of that DVD that I can stand to watch are the instrumentals (which are excellent). After the "overture" to JttCotE I have to skip to the 6 Wives stuff and Merlin.

Talking of Rick Wakeman DVDs, I just got the Live In Buenas Aires disc, which is excellent, and Damian Rice actually can sing OK! Some cool solo trading between Rick and his son Adam, too. Definitely recommended. I'm expecting to receive Out There in the next couple of days, I have high hopes for that :)

I gotta get that.
Another great one is the YesSpeak 35th anniversary which has a great interview with Wakemann on Disc 2.

Wakeman is a God of our instrument, therefore his works are awesome. Live Journey... is fantastic, I got it with a cd as well...outstanding playing, outstanding songs...
