It was a GREAT show... my pop and I both agree the best concert we've ever seen by far.
Dream Theater played for a little over an hour first. The performance was top notch, but I noticed something kinda weird... Either someone slipped something in my drink, or JR is back to playing a Kurzweil controller. I'd post a set list, but I was too drunk to remember everything they played... I remember tha SOlitary Shell was nothing less than stellar!
The Yes part of the show was pretty increadible... they definitely brought down the house with their "unplugged" set. Alan had a bass, a snare, a high hat, 1 tom, and 2 cymbals.... Chris and Steve were play acoustic instruments too... They did 3 or 4 songs in this configuration, and the crowd ate it up.
Rick has a LOT of keyboards... I noticed a Korg Triton in there as well as a mini moog. I didn't know what this "GEM" board was though...never seen one. It had a cool tube sound to it and some nice stereo echo pads used in close to the edge.
If you guys get a chance to get tix for this in another location, I highly recommend going... my pop and I represent 2 generations of proggy fans, and we were both blown away.
Cheers
