Yeah, I know, RoT is coming out soon, but I got FtW today (along with RMP) and I've already listened to it 5 times today. Anyway, I like "Revolving Door" the best because of its great themes and the crazy ending (I really like the sudden breath right before the huge chromatic scale!).

yeah, what a great album! that was my first Rudess solo project cd i got, and i like everything on it. it was hard to pick one, because they all are great for different reasons. my favorites on that album have changed from time to time. Shifting Sands was once my all time favorite on there for its peaceful beginnings and how it kinda goes and rocks out towards the end. Ucan Icon was pretty cool too. The revolving door had always scared the crap out of me after having the peaceful goodness of Headspace cranked up, but in a good way because that song is totally rockin. my vote went to Quantum Soup because its pretty complex, has many neat and different styles in it and has some cool sounds in there. it sounds like a lot of work went into this one especially. not that the others are simple, but this one seemed the most impressive.

Its very hard to pick a song since they all have stuff I like on them but I think shifting sands shows that a keyboardist can also have those kinds of leads were its not all about speed and crazyness.. I also like revolving door...

Sorry, I can't vote. I was gonna do it for Revolving Door, but then Shifting Sands came to my mind, and then Interstices, and then Quantum Soup, and then....
Aaaaah!!! I can't make up my mind!

just voted shifting sands

It is my actual favourite (listening all the time for some weeks now :) )

As someone said above I like the peacefulness of the start and the rocking midle/end, amazing sound in this song :)

Dreaming In Titanium, which I voted for, is probably the most FUN song to listen to. It's just four minutes of absolute random insanity. I absolutely love it, especially the section beginning at 2:48 Before some smartarse notes that I castigate TDoE for much the same description, the difference is that while DiT is certainly all over the place, it actually sounds musical and enjoyable, while TDoE is just random mush.

I'd have to say that the BEST track on the album, though, is Feed the Wheel. It's far more structured than DiT and I love the bass parts in this song. Beautiful work - and a kickass bass solo too.

Have you read that DiT was a demo song Jordan made to exhibit the quadraphonic surround output of the Kurz at clinics/conventions? (or something like that) It was properly remixed to plain stereo for the album of course.. anyway I agree on the fun aspect of this song, love the elevator type music & trumpet solo, and the final lead was always one of my favorites.

That makes sense. I find the song very changing, like being a demo.

Didnīt know about the demo thing. Great tune anyway! (Iīm not a fan of demos) My favourite song is either Crack The Meter or Revolving Door. Decided on RD because it is a bit more complex (and because of that great "vocal" part, of course!!).

that would be really nice if Jordan made a dolby digital CD featuring the song in its quadriphonic version, that would be amazing and I would buy it :)
