Hey guys,

Just letting you all know about a new music collaboration website that just launched:

http://www.recordtogether.com

We aim to help songwriters collaborate with session musicians. Basically, a songwriter creates a contest looking for a particular addition to his song. Session Musicians are then able to upload their additions to the song for the chance to win a "bounty".

If the songwriter likes what you wrote, he has the option to buy the rights to your recording and you get money sent to your Paypal account! If anybody here has a nice sample, we need a clarinet for this song. The winner could get a $35.00 bounty for selling the rights.

Send me a message through the website with any questions.

Thanks for your time!

Hey man, sounds like a really clever idea. I'm curious as to the security of the accounts on your website though... You'd have to be pretty careful to filter out spam as to not be sending money for nothing. Sounds like the system you've got would work pretty well, but I'm always hesitant in sending money to strangers.

But other than that, very good idea and I wish you success with this endeavour :)

Hey, thanks for the kind words. The security is all protected by the web server - meaning that you get instant access to exactly what you hear on the website. Trust me, I went a little overboard on the security stuff, haha - I've been doing it professionally for about 10 years.

Thanks again!
