LOL Dave
Thanks for the kind words everyone :D
John...I've been driving for a few months on my learner's permit. No license until I get myself a job and can pay insurance. Of course, to get a job, I have to be 16 to be legally old enough to work..heh.

OMG! Another shitty teenage driver to contend with on the roads!
J/K...Happy Birthday man!
And uh, you dont have to pay insurance to have a license. Unless AZ has some seriously wack insurance laws. Although, now that I think of it, it seems kind of strange that we insure the CAR and not the DRIVER. Just shows you where the emphasis is placed by this society (ie on property rather than people).
Anyway, its a good idea to go ahead and get your license even if you dont plan on getting a car soon. For one, there may be opportunities to borrow other peoples cars (ie your parents). Also insurance companies generally base your rate on both your age and your # of years licensed, so the earlier you get your license, the sooner you will benefit from that.

I'm guessing I'll have it around the turn of the year, just gotta get a couple more months of practice under my belt. I'm good at anything besides parking in crowded places and highway driving, which I haven't done yet. Not quite ready to shoot down the road at 70 mph with a bunch of idiots weaving in and out all around me.
And yeah...not quite sure on the laws here, I just know that when you get your license you're supposed to notify the insurance company, and get the bottom level insurance at least. We'd have to figure out which car would be cheaper, and then just add me as a part-time driver on that. Soon enough...
