I never wrote music before, and I'm very bad as musician, but recently some good melody and riff stuck in my mind, and I decided to develop it as a progressive rock song with influence of Yes,Dream Theater and Pink Floyd

If this idea will have some good development, I'll look for guitarist, bassist (and probably vocalist/lyricist) , for collaboration

here how I see it:
I do a skeleton in sequencer program with keyboard and simplified rhythm tracks, and send it to guitarist or bassist, who will develop his own part,
then we replace synth track for respective instrument, with real record.
then we mix it all together, adding more and more parts

that's all just for fun and getting more experienced in writing and arranging music
finally, we can post it on Youtube/myspace/whatever

I may be interested in doing guitars for you, depending on when it is you want to do this. Are we talking nowish, or future? Because I have absolutely no time now, but if you were looking around December-ish I can probably do it.

Good idea !
Such words as "progressive rock song" always lead to good ideas :)

I'd be interested by playing bass guitar if you still need a bass !
