Guys, I have a question for you:
Why does Dream Theater chose to make them live performances in closed places!?!??

The acustic isn't better under the blue sky :)!?!?

nope, because in closed places you can calculate where to place speakers, average people watching the show so you can adjust all equipment for better results.

Who says they don't play open air? They do a LOT of open air gigs in the USA, Korea and especially Italy!!!

yea, they played open air in bergamo, and it ROCKED!!!
it was very nice, because the weather was fine, and when they rocked the most, the cold wind blew right from behind the siamese monster :D

well, open air venues do tend to be the largest and therefore really only have the most popular acts play at them. DT are gaining a lot of ground in popularity here, but they arent at the level of bands that sell millions of records, at least here in the US. Dream Theater will be playing a a big open air venue where I live, but only because they are opening for Yes, who are a lot more popular. Still, they definately play some respectable places here

i think they dont play in open air often because the wind often makes James levitate and fly away when he sings. it was starting to become a problem....

And all the crazy faces he makes all the time during the show. Also his movement in the stage is somewhat impressive, never seen a bassist who moves so much.
