Nice stuff. :) That's one of my favorite jazz tunes.
I'm not too fond of the drum sound (especially the click) but your playing was awesome. I wish I was that good at jazz piano...
The drum part is the only part that was sequenced. I'm far from being a drummer. Maybe I can be a little more creative with the drums on my next project. The clicks are actually a clave (a common aux percussion instrument used in Latin Jazz). I might even try borrowing some aux percussion instruments from the college and recording them next time.
The bass part was me playing my Fender P-Bass and the piano was me playing my K2500XS using Patch 771 (Studio Grand).
Pretty soon I'm going to be chasing gigs so I created this small song to be used as a sample.

Clave...that's what it's called. I knew what it was but didn't remember the name, so I went for the technical term for it
Like I've said before...if you ever get a gig in the east valley area (don't know if that will happen depending on how far away you are) let me know, I'll come watch for sure. :)
I'd probably get nervious knowing that someone out there was actually listening. Phoenix is only about 2 1/2 hours from Yuma. I doubt that I'll ever be playing in the Phoenix area (never know; could happen), but I go up there about twice a year. Maybe we can meet someday?
I took a quick listen to your songs (including Misty). Sounds good. Do you know alot of Jazz standards?

Really nice! Nice bass sound and playing also...
There is another great version of this song that Michel Camilo did which has a pretty tricky left hand "tumbao" that sounds nice if you´re playing without a comp section... Not sure what album it´s on though...
Great work anyways! Good luck with the solo career!

Nice playing, John. Your soloing sounds really coherent. I'd like to hear more stuff from you, so keep them coming!
