Transcribing Time Songs in the Dream Theater Writing Format

Does anyone else like to just transcribe the time signatures and key signatures for a song and write them down in the format that Dream Theater and LTE use?
EX:
"Megadeth Riff" F#min 120BPM- 7 7 5 7
7 6 5 7

I've just started doing it whenever I transcribe a song because it seems to be a logical first step; figuring out the time and key signatures, the tempo and naming the section.

I wish this format was available for all of the Dream Theater and LTE tunes. I'm pretty sure MP has most of them but it would take forever to scan them and post them all. I'd be interested in seing if anyone else use this format for transcribing though.
