Hey guys, my first help topic for my kurz. Here's what's the matter.
I replaced my Best Of Vast objects for regular objects. Now I want my Best of Vast objects back, I have all the disks, nothing to worry about. But, some of the programs and setups of the regular objects i would like to keep. How can I save those programs and setups to disk?
Thank you!
Go to disk mode, choose the device you want to save your files on (for example floppy drive), press save > object and select the objects you want to save from the list - then "ok" and so on.

Thank you, ofcourse I have been searching Disk mode, and loading objects works the same way. Just like in Master mode objects.
BUt when you choose ''Save'' in Disk mode, you can only save programs and setups 200 and up, same goes for setups.
Oh, you're right... I never changed the objects in my K2500.
- save objects and select "multiple", then choose 0..99 (or 100...199) and "all types"
- don't go to objects, just select "save" and then move down the list and choose 0..99, or perhaps "master" or something...

OK, your first method worked. Now I need to figure out the how to copy the setups. I guess I did it by choosing all types!
Just look in which range the objects you want to save are, let'S say some in 00..99 and some in 100..199. Then select multiple files of "all types" from 00 to 199 (you can choose atart and ending manually at the multiple-page). This should also copy the setups.
One questions, since I never did this - what kind of "objects" do you mean? Are objects both setups, programs or whatever, or are these special files?

Nah, I was just looking for some setups and programs. There's too little P-ram to install it all. But I managed to get some setups, and the dependant files. So, all programs and samples, keymaps ,Fx presets which were necessairy. Thanks to Dave (Enigma) too!!

OK new problem!
I have recorded something with in Song Mode. Now, I want that on my computer as a media file. How to do that? The problem is that it's in .k26 format.
Play the song in song mode and record the Mix outs into the computer. Or if you want to have a midi-file record the midi-out to the computer.
There could be a way to put a song directly into a midi-file, I'm not aure about that, but I don't think you can put it into a media file (wave) directly.

Thank you Imax for your reply. Dave has told me the bits of it. You need to link it to a computer with a sequencer program. Such a program can convert it. Problem is quite solved, now I need the right cables. Stay tuned!
Sorry if I first give just general answers.. but if it hits your problem it's more worth to explain it than to write tons of text and in the end realzie that I didn't get your problem :-)
So if you have specific questions... ICQ#148765370
But I'm sure Dave will explain it to you even better

Thank you Imax for your support. The fact that you support me does me greater good than the result of it. The gesture is great. And since I don't use ICQ, Dave must be my livesaver! So far I have problems with Cubase SX. I went over it with Cory (Scrap) but we couldn't find the problem. Probably because we have diffirent versions  . Cubase SX doesn't seem to sense an incoming signal from my K26. While I can hear myself playing at the computer speakers. It's just plugged in line in. So, i'm after Cool Edit pro 2.0 now.
Question: Those disks, are all the sounds on those disks already loaded on the 2600? Or are there some disks in that package that don't have the sounds preloaded on the 2600, and if so which?
Mmh, I have an old version of Cubase VST... to get the incoming signal
a) the input must be activated / switched on in cubase
b) in the monitor mixer a channel must get this input as its input device
c) the peak meter has to be switched to incoming signals (now you should see the signal)
As I said, a very old Cubase VST...

Hahaha no man! There isn't any room for that! I picked on disk for fun, loaded and my kurz was full! . I have Best Of Vast presets on disk, I have regular base opjects, I have some ''added'' objects, and some farms. In total I think around 2000 sounds.
