I just looked a bit on eBay, browsing through Synths, and then I saw a Kurzweil which ended in few minutes...
It's a K2000 with Sampling Option and V 3.16 and an SCSI Zip Drive... I got it for 312 Euro :D I can't wait for it to arrive! V.A.S.T. will surely be a new experience!

I got a K2000 recently as well! I have no sampling option, not that I need it since I have LOTS of sampling software (if I EVER needed to sample something, I'd use Kontakt or HALion!). The worst is that I paid almost 500 euro...but it's in perfect conditions...
I don't like Zip drives...a scsi cd reader is much better these days...or, if you have a big load of samples, hard disks will do...
Deceit.

Personally, I'd rather have the zip drive. I've had many a CD roms not work because of scratches and what not, but I've never in (5 years +) had a problem with a zip disk. CD roms hold more. I think I'm getting ready to switch to a 2gig Jaz drive.
Also CD Rom disk don't cost a lot which would allow you to have several copies for good backup. I haven't used a CD Rom on my Kurz, so I can't comment on speed comparison.
Zip disk can be used (rewritten to) over and over and over . . . I guess if you're comparing cost, while CD Roms disks are cheaper, I have had the same zip disk for the last 5+ years. I've spent more money on CD Roms for my computer than Zip disks. In the end, Zip disk are probably cheaper. Especially when you consider that you're constantly changing things.
Hopefully, I'll be switching to Jaz soon.

Orb 2.2 drives are also an excellent alternative storage.
Quick and inexpensive medium.
