SMP-2K for the K2600?

Hi,

I bought the SMP-K2 sampling option from an ebay auction. The item description says, that it is for the K2500 / K2600.
The option is new and was sold from a dealer, who sells alot of Kurzweil stuff. However, today I received the option, but the package and the manual only says, that this option is for the K2500/X.
I sent an e-mail to the dealer and hope for a quick reply.

I know, that there's a new sampling option kit available (SMP-2X) which is suitable for both, the K2500 and K2600. But what about the old SMP-2K? Is there a chance to install it in a K2600 as well?

Hi again,

the dealer said, that according to an employee of the Kurzweil Support, these two options (SMP-2X and SMP-2X) are physically the same and interchangeable.

So I tried to install the SMP-2X into my K2600. Without the proper manual, this was not a very easy task, but with some information on the internet I made it and the sampling board is working very fine. :D
