So I recently got an email which directed me to a site that has a ton of sound banks for purchase for the Motif.

One I really like is the "80s pack"...which has a ton of stuff that I think would be great for little teases and such on stage.

Anyway...here is the link to the site:
http://shop.motifator.com/index.php/voice-libraries/motif-es-rack-voice-libraries/80s-pop-rock-soundset-for-yamaha-motif-es-s90es-mo6-mo8.html

Now here is my question...
I have the Motif ES Rack, and before the description I see this little note:

"Voices and Performances of Classic 80s Pop and Rock Synthesizer Sounds
(NOT compatible with Classic Motif or Motif XS) (Performances do not load into the MO or rack)"

Apparantly you can't load Performances into the Rack-ES...(stupid!)...I'm wondering if anyone knows a way around this? I tried researching that topic but haven't come up with any solutions that I understand. I don't want to miss out on a ton of stuff from the package! I see some talk of how you can load performances into multi mode? Is this the way around it or will there be things that still won't work?

Also wondering how much I will really be missing if I am unable to use any of the performances....

No idea why all these damn keyboard companies don't just get together and standardize what everything is called! Multis, combis, performances...ahhhhhh!!!!

Edit: Man after listening to a few of these banks - i have a feeling i'm about to spend way more money than I should!

On a completely different topic (but not wanting to start a new thread)...

anyone have experience with the Yamaha BC3 Breath Controller?

Just saw some youtube vids on it and I'm wondering if its worth it?

Hmm, you may be able to use a software editor/librarian to extract the "voices" and then recreate the performances yourself.

Seems weird that there isn't a way to do it though.

I would check with Motif user groups.

Yeah I was looking through the Motifator forums for the answers and while the questions have been asked, no one really answered much of the question.

I'll probably pick it up anyway (heck its only $40) and try it out for myself.
