I would like to know if this patch is available anywhere in internet for Kurzweil a k2600/k2661
thanks!
Hey are you talking of jordans LTE Lead or Derek Sherinians Monster Lead. If you want the first one I think it is already in you Keyboard. For dereks tone there is a nice tutorial on progsounds. Its for Korg and on those(tried it on oasys) it sound fantastic but i think on the kurz it might be possible to get quite close. Nico

Thanks for the answer Nico.
I already have the LTE lead in my k2661. I know Derek created the Monster Lead first, but as far I know (correct me if I am wrong), Rudess made his own version of the same sound with his Kurzweil, which sounds a little different and better in my opinion.

Check approx minute 6:45 (Derek and Jordan at the same time on stage)
This sound can be found in the Jordan´s album "Rhythm of Time" also if my ears are okay.

Ah now I know what you mean. I don't know what jordan was exactly doing there but this was his main lead sound in the train of thought era. I created his newer oasys lead which is something in between the lte and the tot lead. It is based on the LTE lead with some nasty distortion you can morph it into the direction of the tot lead. If I have some time I can record some examples of my lead sound. But basically jordans and dereks lead sound differ a lot. Jordans is a lot more complicated to replicate due to the many feedback layers. Perhaps you should ask some people like luca or enigma I think they are more familliar with the sound engine of the kurzweil. Nico

Yeah, I can definitely make the lead sound easy enough - I'm currently traveling though and I'm away from my Kurzweil and Luca doesn't have his kurzweil anymore (and it doesn't have KDFX if I remember either)... So looks like you'll just have to wait for me to get back :)
I can definitely make it though. I have a variation of it without KDFX kicking around if you look for Ra. I programmed the sounds for Ra and I have them somewhere in here... but I think the link MIGHT be dead.
Take a look though, and I get home in a week from today so we might be able to figure out something for you.
