First off, new here, huge DT and JR fan, etc, etc.

I'm attempting to teach myself "Octavarium" based off the JR Keyboard Experience book. I'm getting through it OK, and I'm slowly programming and tweaking as I learn more of it. I have a Korg M50.

The problem I have is that I have no idea how to play Razor's Edge. The strings, horns and piano layers seem impossible to all play at once, especially with the string arpeggios. I realize I could just record multiple tracks, but what about live? The only video I have of JR playing Octavarium is from score, and the orchestra handles that for him.

Any suggestions?

Welcome on this forum ;).

For the arpeggios, you can watch this video :

At the very begining of the video, Jordan plays the famous arpeggios from Octavarium
(There is not enough pad on the Korg M50 for play this way, but you can create multiple patches).

For the begining of the Razor's Edge part, live, Jordan plays strings part with his right hand. The piano part his rearranged for his left hand (like for the introduction of "The Ministry of Lost Souls"). The sustain pedal only affects the piano sound. I don't know for the horn ? I think, live, he doesn't include that sound , but I'm not sure. If he includes the part, the sound must be programmed in the piano sound area (he might put the horn sound with the low piano notes, in this case he would octave up the horn sound).
I hope you'll understand .

Surely anyone knows exactly what Jordan does .
