Shadow Circus is seeking a skilled keyboard player to join the band for live shows. We're an established band with two indie releases and a growing international fan base. Our music is melodic, sometimes heavy, sometimes soft, with roots in 70's progressive bands such as Yes, ELP, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, The Who, Peter Gabriel-era Genesis and Led Zeppelin. All with a modern twist!
Here's the low-down:
- While it is not really a paying gig, we do expect to draw a good crowd at shows, and play many of them. Money from shows are equally split among the band.
- We do all chip in for rehearsals, but we expect royalties from CD sales and money from gigs to begin to cover this as we start to play out.
- Commitment level: rehearsals are about once per week on weekends in Manhattan. We expect that once the set is down tight, we can rehearse less frequently or just before shows.
- We do not care about age, gender, race, orientation, looks
- It is a very fun gig - we all really enjoy this, and so will you!
- There is some buzz about the latest release, and the possibility of playing in Europe or at a large festival is a distinct possibility.
The most important thing is that you connect with the music. Our latest release is streamed in its entirety at http://www.shadowcircusmusic.com/audio . Take a listen, if you like it and are available, write me a pmand tell me what you think of it, and tell me a little about yourself.
