I would have to guess there are several sites out there where an independant artist could upload their work for other people to download and listen to. Where are the biggest ones?

I use www.digitalsoundplanet.com

They give you like 10 MB of space...not sure if that'd be enough for you or not, but it's nice for putting up a nice bundle of quick jams or whatnot.

Don't know if I'll ever contribute. I'm going to have some samples at my website to promote myself, but I don't think they'll be interesting enough that people are going to want to listen to them in their car. Maybe someday. I was actually looking for a place to go to check out what others where doing.

Soundclick.com has taken over the huge void where mp3.com used to be. It's free, has tons of services, and if you pay a little bit, you get a ton of great extra features. Check it out, it's been great so far!

mp3.com used to be like what you need, they've changed, but i haven't been there in a long while, i dunno if it's still like that.

not a good idea, sure you can put your album up on kazaa but let's face it, people only download stuff on there that they're LOOKING for, so you'd have to go and spam people saying to go on kazaa and download these tracks, then leave your kazaa open long enough for a bunch of people to get it, then the fuckers will rename the files and fuck it all up.
