Hello everyone.
I'm new here so I will introduce myself. :)
My name is NIels, I'm from Nieuw Vennep, The Netherlands, Europe... I'm a Dream Theater and Jordan Rudess fan (why wouldn't I be here)
I'm 28 years old and I play electroic guitars and trying to play Keyboards, Synthesires. I own an Alesis QS 6.1 and a very simple device called the Yamaha QY 70 Music sequencer with Midi Keyboard attached to it. Simple in the sence of it's sound quality.
further interests are synthesizer music, computers, 3d Art and Animation and mountainbiking.
Well, that's about it for now. Got to get ready for the last day of work before the weekend.
Cheers, Niels Berndsen

Thanks guys for the welcome.
Also thanks for the Mega cool Dutch slang line IbanezRocks!. :D Waaaaaaaaaaanzinnig
Anyway... I think it will take some time for me to post any MP3's of my work overhere, cause I'm still quite a rookie in this field. I've got the equipment, yes... but from there is still a long long way to go. Besides that... and this may sound very silly, (I've tried it before) I don't know how to get my computer to record from a input channel. I have to do major steps in order to get a certain result and then I'm still not happy with it, cause the sound quality isn't to be jumping around of joy.
Besides that... I need to find a good music school, also affordable for me to pay... with nowadays economics. Maybe I should write a protest song about it?  ........... :? then again, maybe not.
Oh well, got to get ready for work now.
Talk to you all later and have a nice, hopefully cool day. It's hot here in the Netherlands.
Cheers Niels

Dont we love emmigrants!
Btw, Niels. What soundcard are you using?
I case of a creative-card:
If youre using a creative-card with livedrive there is an option where you have to enable the aux-in first with the software. The PDF manual answered most of my questions.
Also make sure you have the recording volume set right, -and- the recording source (instead of What-U-hear take auxilarity 2 or smth)
As for the school, you wanna do a fulltime study? Otherwise if you just want to get better try out the Jordan Rudess-conservatory. I got it and its great.
The rockacademie in N-brabant isnt as good as most other conservatories.. might be an interesting name, but I'd leave it be. I heard that graduates there know even less than on conservatory's in most other dutch cities. Besides, this school is 'particulier', that'll be more $$$ than I can afford for sure..
I'd go for a classical/jazz piano course on a HBO-study. Its best if you do some research, make some phonecalls and ask some folders yourself though.
