Hiya Folks,

I just got this in the mail today... I've been using reason 2.5 with a keystation 49 (Stop laughing :shock: )

Here's my question:

I have all this nifty software to map the midi controls to the knobs and sliders, but can't seem to find a master map of the whole thing.... My transport buttons on the controller don't work, and similar issues.

I know I'm an idiot, thanks for bearing with me. Any good website for this equipment would do.... and maybe some advice on my next (synth) purchase down the road would be wonderful.

Rock on

hmmm... if you don't have manuals at hand, I suggest you to do a little trick with virtual midi cables. search for a software midi loopback device and install it. download midiOX (is a midi swiss army knife ;) ) and install it. now, you have to remap your midi in and out with virtual cables in a manner that you can view midi messages (so you can find midi CC#).

for the Keystation CC#:

[Keyboard]---{(midi in)--[midiOX]---(virtual dev out 0)}---{(virtual dev in 0)--[Reason]}

for Reason CC#:
[Keyboard]---{(midi in)---[Reason]---(virtual dev out 0)}---{(virtual dev in 0)---[midiOX]}

see ya

So should I just bite the bullet and build the mapping by hand? It looks like this Enigma utility SHOULD work, but doesn't.... I guess I'll go yell on the propellerhead forums and see if any of them have seen this issue. :twisted:

Thanks for the suggestion though, if all else fails I have a means to an end.
