i nearly set my face on fire today...

i was lighting a fire..had some rubbish in this big can thing....poured some petrol in..and lighted a piece of tissue...and put it in..and "whoof!!!" in my face...very close...although it didn't touch me..or my hat...or my arms..

and that was the highlight of my day..

Never *ever* try using PETROL to burn stuff... it doesn't work, because the petrol itself burns too quickly, and it's also rather incendiary, as you discovered! Paraffin is your best bet, methylated spirit will also work though... I once set fire to my entire leg by inadvertantly pouring burning petrol all over it... did no damage besides singing my shoelaces a little though.

it sets the fire going...and it was at work..so i can sue them if i get burnt 8)

the boss made it blow up earlier..so i'm not the most dangerous one around :wink: :)

your lucky it could have gotten your eyebrows... and you would have been the silly man around work , and everyone would know what you did and remind you every day ,sorry just blubbering .. that does suck though.
