Does anyone have VH's Jump patch in .syx format for Roland JV-1080 or XP? Thanks,

J

Eddie Van Halen used an Obenheim OB-Xa synth for that song, u may want to get the samples of that synth but being honest there is not any good one in the net, so u will have to buy it (there are GREAT samples of this synth for sale, AKAI, Kurzweil, KORG and Roland native!).

If that's not possible for u, then you should set up a patch for your keyboard, is kinda easy. Use sawtooth/saw/wave layers and try chorus/saw algorithms or other effects (use ur own stuff man). I have two patches I programmed for my Kurzweil K2600 long time ago, one of them very simple, almost silly! It uses 2 layers (yes, only two panned) That's the best one of them and it works great for that song, and other Journey's and Rush's (alone or combined with other patches/effects), if u want it let me know :)

Hey dude
I Play a roland XP-60

it's pretty easy to make a jump patch in a roland board man
jus take the normal "Sawtooth Lead" & and increase the Cut off Frequency

then go to the LFO control and Switch all the function for modulation off

If you don't get it
jus let me know and i'll send you my patch

Take Care Bro

Oberheim?
I remember I was told the song was recorded with a Roland JD-800?! However... ;)
