Overrated and has already been posted... yet another ultra expensive Midi controller.

I strongly disagree with what he says in the vid at 1:08.
He says "I wanted the eigenharp to make it possible for these people to make a good living" as if they can't do it without one... c'mon mate... its not gna take over the music industry.
Kinda agree about the computer interface used for letter writing, and it being inappropriate... But that's the good thing about midi. You can control the computer with MIDI hardware. Therefore to me makes eigenharp seem overrated. (don't agree that midi is slow and crude. Midi keyboards are only as good as the person programming them. Program them effectively and it's gna be invaluble).
Just seems like they have their head in the clouds thinking that it's going to replace alsorts of current technology that is very widely used.

Just went on their site.. if you opt for all the stuff... its £4,800 (may have been USD) that's almost the price of a Korg OASYS....
Not worth that by any means

I think you are missing the point.
This is a unique instrument with multiple expression opportunities based upon new technology. The calibration of micrometer pads. The access of the scale accessibility & interface. Sure it does have a Axis 64'ish thing going on but this is a completely different animal. The inclusion of the wood craftsmanship while trying to address modern day electronic needs. The expression pipe we have seen before but not in this capacity.
As far as cost goes. This is a new product & as such is specialist product with build overheads. Bearing in mind that this is a newly established company & not a corporate giant. It's unrealistic to think this is going to be knock out at a low price. I could write you an overhead list as long as your arm.
The Continuum is just as unique & shares some similarities with promotion + R & D. Again, not a mass market product.
This instrument spent 8 years being developed. Give it a chance to float.

I'm pretty tired of hearing about this seemingly overrated instrument (to me. Just my opinion)
Also, like mentioned already, there's been a bunch of threads about it, like no-one sees the threads that existed before this one.
Anyway, with that, I'm closing this thread for redundancy.
