2010 is Dream Theater's 25th Anniversary and I think they should do something special for fans and for a DVD!

This would be sick:
A Special Evening with Dream Theater, Live at the HOLLYWOOD BOWL
A special concert for Dream Theater's 25th Anniversary live with the Los Angeles Philharmonic (and maybe some other special guests!).

I don't know about you, but I think this would be an amazing show to go to if it actually happened, especially for fans in Southern California. Dream Theater with a larger, and more professional orchestra (it doesn't have to be the LA Phil, but their new director Gustavo Dudamel is direct from Venezuela and Venezuelans seem to like Dream Theater).

The Hollywood Bowl also seats 18,000 people, even larger than Radio City.

What do you think?

I think that large venues usually suck. And, that they should play a small venue in Chicago, that doesn't have terrible acoustics. Last year they played at Rosemont, which is a big place made with the intention of sound. But, they made the walls out of concrete. The low frequencies were just everywhere. I felt like I was drowning in bass.

But, all the small venues I've been to in Chicago sound great. I just wish Dream Theater could do a small venue.

But, I'm definitely seeing them in the spring. (They're doing another tour, right?)

A new Evening With-type of tour would be cool, like the 20th anniversary thingy. I loved that. Though the actual Score DVD is prolly the weakest of the released DVDs, hehe.

And as the big surprise for the 25th, John Myung will tell jokes throughout the entire show, and it all ends with Jordan singing the lead vocals on Octavarium while JLB rocks the continuum! Anyone else wanna see this?

John Myung doesn't talk. He communicates solely through his bass:

Interviewer: So, what's the best part of the tour so far?

JM: DMMM!!!! DMM doodly DMM!!!

With all due respect, but I think it's time for a DVD recorded in Europe

Actually, that's not a bad idea, buuuuuut I'm pretty sure they were all over Europe in 5YIALT.

Despite that, I think it'd be great to see them record a DVD somewhere where they actually chart all the time. :-p
