I'm not sure if Korg or Roland put weighted keys on their 76 note keys..Anyone else know?
It depends on how much you want to spend really.
You could look at junos or tritons.

They haven't had weighted keys on the 76 or 61-key models for as long as I can remember, at least. I guess the price would just be about the same, with just 5 keys different, and who would then buy the 76 key version? One can prolly get semi-weighted, but not weighted.

There are none (or almost) 76 keys full weighted.
Whats your price limit? the patch change pedal is a sustain pedal. Depending on preference you can choose one with a shorter pathway.
They all got pitch bend nowadays
Look for new or used.
Kurzweil can also be a good alternative.
For less price and good functionnality i would recommend
Kurzweil PC3LE (not out yet)
Korg m50 (like the m3 without sampling)
i dont know roland much. A used fantom x7 is not really pricey
You could also look for used triton extreme or Kurzweil 2000 2500 or 2600

i've guess the AX-Synth trust fund is going to become the K3000 foundation
anyway good keyboard for DT covering kurzweil, or korg.

My experience is:
You don't need 76 keys. You need 61 though, less is not really possible. But especially with easy accessible octave change buttons, I don't see more than 61 become necessary at all.
On my K2661 theoretically every song of DT is possible, only the player has to be good enough:rolleyes: I have to practise more.
I have 2 sustain pedals from "Bespeco"(VM20) as they can be sticked together to save room and the 2661 gives a shit on what kind of pedal you have, one is for sustain or wah/phaser effect(as I don't need them on the same song) and the other one is for changing patches.
I also got(or rather will have... mail is too slow these days) a PC2SRIB, the "Super Ribbon Controller" from Kurzweil(three different areas, if you want)and the sampling device.
Of course it has a pitch wheel and also a mod wheel, they are programmable separately.
The only downside I experienced with this keyboard is its weight for I am only twice as heavy as the keyboard and it's too heavy for me to be carried under one arm, but this is a minor problem that doesn't bother me much^^
Price for mine(used, but I don't see that this is the case): 1250$+Shipping+Taxes... I think with the Ribbon Controller and the sampling device I'm still below 2000$... sounds fair to me;)
So, just consider Kurzweil as an alternative;)
My experience is:
You don't need 76 keys.
You do if you want to learn piano as well. And in that case you need 88 of them. Weighted.

I think that maybe the reason he told 76 is not really neaded. That way you end up with an easy transportable 61 key and then you can have a 88 key full weighted

Im realy starting to consider this kurzweil, it seems i dont actualy need 76 keys, and could you tell me what was the exact or at least proximate price?
I'd love to have this one!

The k2661 is not sold anymore
there is the pc361 which is around 1800 USD
it is a little more powerfull than the k2661 without an audio input and sampling option (i,ve got a pc3x and i'm really satisfied and dont miss the sampling)

Sonically get the kurzweil or the yamaha motif ...
for programming get the kurzweil
for the price get the M3 (but for the sound you may be limited, but still it is really good) i never tried programming on it but it is quite still advanced, not as much as kurz but enough and you got sampling.

The sound quality of the M3's EDS engine is great and I think Korg workstations are the most user friendly of all. Not just because of the touch screen, but because of the whole user interface that makes programming very easy. If you expand the M3 with an EXB-Radias you even get VA synthesis.

you are right, the learning curve is less hard on the M3, but i was talking more subtilely because they are all great workstations.
Radias sounds less powerfull than VAST.
I would have get a M3 if I would not have had a great price on the PC3x. The key is to try them. And if you get a m3 get the radias and memory expansion

Although I've never tried one, I thought it was official now that Radias sucks?

I would not say suck since it is still a powerfull board but it does not boost the power of say, an old traditional analog, a nord lead or the VAST of the PC3. I did not try it enough long to say. But some of my friend says it is more a trance machine, its not made for powerfull leads
