from my old Casio WK3000 to a K2661...
...and the first thing I noticed was that my speed improved because of the springs below the keys
I seem to be able to program most of the things, but I wonder: How do I configure the Pitch Bend Wheel and the Mod Wheel?
I tried getting to a menu where a word like "Pitch ctrl" or "wheel" appears, but tipping blindly on such an instrument doesn't fit with me... perhaps just a silly habit like never ever writing in books even when I'm supposed to work with them.

Oh sweet! Must be feeling like going from a bike to Aston Martin  Make sure you make great use of it, as it was designed for such use!

Wait a minute... How an Aston Martin could be better than a bike? :) In the case of casio and k2661 I would say it is like going from a Trabant (veteran german paper-car, haha) to a AMartin. Im a biker (and have a car too) and I really cannot understand why a car is better than a bike, and why (in many cases) a bike is mentioned as the bottom of all vehichle... Its just silly.
ON
It has to be a very good feeling to work on a top-category machine

Can you run over people with a bike?
Just kiddin'! I love bikes, they're essential for a green planet and a great exercise/sport!
On topic, welcome to the wonderful world of K, I'm sure you'll have fun.

Pitch and Modwheel are programmed on the pages, where modulations can be specified. Normally, you say, the control source is the mod wheel and specify the amount of effect.
Try the PITCH page for a layer, set the DptCtl to MWheel and MinDpt and MaxDpt to different values and listen, what happens, if you turn the wheel.
This is how the mod wheel can do many things within a program, as you can use it as a control source on any slot, that is described with 'Control Source List' in the manual. Take a closer look at chapter 6 (Program Mode and the Program Editor) in the manual ... there you can find every page and it's function ... and at every, where 'Control Source List' appears, you can set in the mod wheel.
For the pitch bend, I can't remember at the moment... sold my K2661 over a year ago.

Thanks! I'd had big problems without this information^^
Symphony X - Revelation and DT - Metropolis Pt.1 are now to be programmed and practised... I wonder where my brother gets these insane guitarists from... 30minutes practice for Revelation?
