three lightbulbs

In one room you have three lightbulbs, in another different room you have three switches.

Starting in the room with the switches, and only allowed to enter the bulb room once, can you tell witch switch works which bulb?

You can switch any switch either on or off, and you can not see from one room into the next at all.

well several optinos


1 - you look into the room with the lightbulbs and hold onto the switches..

2 - you look into the room and get your friend to switch the switches

3 - see 2 but you and your mate swap places

4 - you knock down the wall

5 - look thru the window between the 2 rooms

6 - get a pair of ladders to peer over the top after you've taken the roof off

7 - phone the electrical engineer to sort it out

8 - phone your mate to sort it out

9 - change the lightbulbs to 3 different colours and make a note of which switch switches on each colour

10 - dont do anything and go down to the pub and ask a couple of mates to come back with you and sort it out.

11 - go to sleep and sort it out in the morning with your gf/wife

easy man

Take one switch, turn in on and leave it that way for like, 5-10 minutes.
Turn it off.
Turn another switch on and leave it on.

Now when you go into the other room, you'll be able to tell which one controls which: The one you left on for a little bit will be hot, but off.
The one that's still on will be *gasp* still on and the one that isn't hot but is off is the third switch :)
