Why buy 2 Korg Oasys when you could buy a brand new Fairlight

Holy Shiite Muslims, Batman!

That looks really awesome.

Now if someone would just produce a remake of the Technos Axxcel (and price it below $1000).

I heard something about the 30A. I'd like to see Herbie Hancock and Keith Emerson with those again...

The idea of just drawing the waveform with a pen, is something that I find very cool.
I don't know why you never see this function in samplers - it's so easy to make, and it gives lot's of sonic possibilities.

But, the whole concept is just outdated - just buy a Macbook with midi keyboard or something...

You can draw waveforms with a pen or mouse or finger or whatever you want in Max/MSP - it's one of the simpler things to do in it, actually.

We can be creative on it. I just wonder if Mac has touchable screen and works with Fairlight's old tech (drawing wave tech- I don't know what's the name).

Yea, its actually a pretty cool announcement.

But before we all start saying how one could do a lot more with just a macbook pro, we should all understand that this new fairlight is NOT a commercial machine, it is just intended for those über rich musicians (or be it synth addicts) that just happen to have nostalgic feelings when hearing the Fairlight name.

Keep in mind that this is not a perfourmance thing. Think more of it as a collector´s item.

I would totally like to have one of those !!!
