My recording software screws up my MIDI connection.

OK,

After going into my recording software, my Kurz K2500XS will only play about 8 notes at the same time. After doing a "RsetCh" from the MIDI page on my Kurz, everything is back to normal. Any Ideas on what's happening?

First, check that the MIDI cables are correctly wired, that is MIDI OUT > IN, MIDI IN > OUT (do not confuse any of those with MIDI Thru)

Second, check if "MIDI Thru" is active within your recording software. If yes, this may create MIDI feedback, which is known to have the consequences which described here above. The MIDI Thru switch may be hidden in some preferences or MIDI setup menus.

If all that fails, please give us a more detailed description of your MIDI settings (Kurzweil and computer), recording software and MIDI setup (i.e. other devices wired in between, etc.).
