Hey folks, I know many of us play a lot of classical music. I myself play some chopin, but mostly bach.
However, i just had a conversation with a mate about how differently we all perform this classical music. And if we play it exactly the way the composers want it to be played. THe answer is probably that we all play it very different, so I thought 'why not do a small comparision expiriment?'

I thought of everyone putting a link here of their version of Fantasie Impromptu. Why this one? Not really a reason, except that it is an expressive piece that most of us are able to play, dynamics can be different, and the middle part can be interpreted different as well..

I'd love to hear entries, if anyone has some, that'd be megacool!

Show-Off your version hehehehe

Well, a lot of you have probably heard this one, as it has been avaiable in my Show-off-thread. But anyway, here's some sloppy playing, performed live at a classical talentcontest a year ago:

By then it'll be about 5 and a half years. I'm putting the finishing touches on the Revolutionary Etude right now, which I'll be playing at a recital late August/early September. Then I'm gonna work on one of the waltzes for a Christmas recital and after that, then onto the beast this thread is about.

Anyway, enough of me...back on topic!

*cries* Five years and on the Revolutionary Etude...I played Fantasie this year, and I have two versions of it, but both of them suck...I get really horrible stagefright, it's depressing...so I'll just listen to everybody else.

It is a great piece but toooooo overplayed. I know parts of the Allegro and the Largo part but not the whole thing. Gonna wait untill I have finished the F minor Nocturne first.
