I was just wondering...
Since JR is one of the best keyboardists in the world and so on..
Does he show it? I mean, does he have a nice car and a real fancy house?
It would be interesting to see that...:)

I'll bet he has a nice house and a nice car, but I don't think you'll see him on MTV Cribs.
He and his wife are very normal hardworking people, feeding two kids.
Nothing fancy or "rock star-ish"

He has a really nice house in upstate N.Y.
It's kinda on the modern side.
I love the area it's located too! Very beautiful
and green. The changing colors of the leaves in
the Fall season bring about a peaceful beauty.

Not as great perspectives of the rest of the house as any of us would like. But I think that's the best that's out there right now.

Man... its so great that Jordan shows us pictures like this. Everytime I have to think about that. Its really a fantastic thing that we all should highly appreciate!
Feels like we're all friends of THE MAN.
In fact, we ARE!!!!
Thanks Jordan!

He's told me stuff about their house last year's august when we were hanging out with him in Italy. We were driving back to the hotel after the clinic and I asked him the same question, or actually not about the stardom thing, but I was just very curious to what kind of house they live in, what it looks like and stuff and so he's told me a few cool things. We also talked about his pets and my dear cat!! He's really laid back and human. That's much appreciated :D

This is one of my favourite pics of Jordan, ever. I really like this pic. :)
On the topic at hand, I actually think it's kinda creepy and mildly invasive to be discussing a person's house in this way. I'm not sure this is a cool subject for discussion.

I second that. I wouldn't like it if people were talking about my house on a forum (even if it was my own forum). Perhaps Jordan is ok with it, though, but perhaps he isn't.
The photos are really cool, and the fact that he posted them himself is even cooler.

I don't see why not. As he's one of my idols, I'd like to know him as best I can--through his music, his interviews, heck, even his 'wizard's log'. Wanting to see his house is just as natural. I'd like to see what kind of lifestyle he leads, what his taste in decor is, what his family's like, etc. All of it helps me understand him better, and thus, helps me connect with the ideas in his music better. No?

being this "popular" has it's sacrifices. You'll notice in most pics he doesn't have the face of his daughters shown... There are some things that are TOO personal.
In any case, I guess at some point you give up a small portion of your privacy to live "the lifestyle"... I'd imagine that if he DID have a problem with it, he'd let us know or simply not post the pics :)

well, i dont see a connection between how a person lives and how he expresses things through his music?
for me it really doesnt matter where or how JR lives, what counts is the music...
btw, Lars Ulrich is currently selling his house (rumors say it is the property below:

but seeing this house really isnt helping me how Lars developed some drum parts or wrote music...
just my 2 cent...

Reminds me of a discussion on the board a long time ago about seeing MP out around his hometown. I think someone said they saw him picking up some pizza or takeout wearing his DT leather jacket. Would it be appropriate to approach someone like that in that situation?
If I were in their shoes and didn't want to be bothered/recognised, I probably wouldn't be wearing my band's logo on a jacket. But it all depends on the situation.
I think in this case, we're probably better off focusing on the music.

We're on our way to making a dollar with all these cents! I don't want to run this debate into the ground and this thread seems like it's pretty much dead now.
But, in defense, I simply mean to say that in cases where you're curious about somebody, hearing their voices or their music doesn't describe them as much as seeing them and how they live. My point is that when you walk into somebody's house and see how they've decorated it and arranged the furniture, you can tell that much more about them. The end.
Maybe not everyone can do that, I don't know and frankly, this is a moot point because people are still going to want to see more of Jordan than just him in concerts or interviews.
Anyway, yeah. That last picture of him is great.
