I was just browsing on Amazon.com, for books about electronics and music - ordered some funky organ/keyboard books, rock keyboard, smooth jazz keyboard book. Couldn't order books about synth electronics that I wanted, will have to download them, I guess.

I was really suprised to discover this one

It's a cheap one, only 11 bucks with a CD... as long as I learn something, 11 bucks are well spend
I'll write a review, when I have it.
I think my improvisation skills are getting better each day (after all, I play piano since I was 6), but I lack certain 'color', which is called genre... that's why I ordered these books. Now I just kinda play want sound nice to my ears...

It's a great book. I own it and have studied everything in the book. It covers topics like keyboard instruments, rhythm and meter, counterpoint and chops. It's a nice serie of books for keyboard, I love R&B keyboard, Rock keyboard a smooth jazz piano too!

Well, you have to consider the timezones.

I was born somewhere around 00:50 on the 23rd - where I live now, it's more like 10:50 of the 22nd!.

Yes - very interesting book...
I also have jazz-rock, rock and smooth-jazz from this series of books.

I've received them yesterday, just went through every book very fast, to see what they have to offer. Also listened to CDs.
I think Progressive rock book has the most know-hows, but only a proper study will tell for sure.
Very useful stuff, that is not easy to figure out by yourself.

I think if I can master some skills of Prog rock composition, then combine them with my fascination for the sound design - I could make pretty nice tracks

Anyway - I think everybody should check it out - it's only 10 bucks! You can't go wrong for that price...

(I'll write a review, when I see some results)
