This time i've taken the exact same z3ta+ patch i used before, stripped it of all effects (so that i only have the filter and oscillators), and put it through Korg's MDE-X plugin with a talking modulator and flanger.

What do you think?

EDIT: Sorry in advance for the crappy playing (high latency alert!)

Sounds good. Maybe that lower octave sound should be a bit louder?

imho, these ones sounded really good: http://tindeck.com/listen/dekh and http://tindeck.com/listen/sgyb how did you make these?

im comparing it with this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23OR-m4PI_Q
(scroll to 7:30)

its hard to tell the pitch changes in this one, and the pig doesn't "growl" as much..just what i can tell by ear

EDIT: o this was already mentioned in another snarling pig thread lol

Glad you asked!

Well, for those two snarling pigs, I used exactly the same patch as my current one, except that I used z3ta+'s built-in mono phaser (for both). However, the first one has a lower cutoff frequency than the second one.

Does anyone have a softsynth version of the sound to share?

z3ta+ IS a softsynth, but to fully achieve the effect, i needed the Korg MDE-X VST plugin.

They all sound pretty good. What you don't hear in the recording on youtube very well that is also there is there's an attack sound that means the pig sound is Legato. It's pretty faint, but it's there.

Sounds like a distorted woodblock kind of sound... pretty filtered, but it'll get your sound closer to the real one :)

I need an urgent reply on this matter. I created my own Snarling Pig sound in MS-20; how do I only keep the snarling effect, without the basic waveform to be heard? I really just want the effect...Thanks guys!
