I am a big fan of dream theater, liquid tension experiment, G3, petrucci solo, transatlantic, and labrie solo. I am looking into which Rudess album's to pick up.

What are your two favorite Rudess solo albums?

Feed the Wheel and Rythm of Time, in no particular order. Also the 'Rudess Morgenstein project' is very cool imo.. real old-school JR.

I'd definitely add Secrets Of The Muse and 4NYC to the list, they're awesome!

It's not a solo, but "An Evening with John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess" is one of my favorites. I'll also second Rhythm of Time and Feed the Wheel. They're all actually really good. Just pick one and go!

My favourites are Rhythm of Time and Listen, although Listen may seem a bit cheesy if you don't like the 80s Transformers vibe. But definitely get Rhythm of Time. It's a nice mix of JR craziness, cool leads, and just the right amount of heavy.

If you're into LTE, I strongly recommend Feed the Wheel.
There're many killer tunes, and not only Rudess cool solos.
Also John Petrucci and Steve Morse added great performances. You won't regret.

Personally, 4NYC is the most beautiful and touching one.

Depends on what you're leaning more towards: crazy progressive music or extremely touching piano music.
Of the first, I'd take Rhythm of Time, said it on 2004 and I say it now: This is THE JR cd for me.
Of the latter, 4NYC.
