How to get Promo Copies?

How do you manage to get promotional copies?
For instance, I would really like to get my hands on a promo copy of BC&SL, as I am overseas at the time of its release, and will not be able to listen to it until early August, (DEPRESSING!) so I would like to get my hands on a copy before then.
I have contacted Roadrunner, and am awaiting response, however, any tips, guys?

I would say that either RR or DT would have to consider you in a position worth getting a promo copy. I don't think it's quite as simple as just asking nicely ;)
Remember, the point of a promo is for people to promote the album in reviews, radio etc.

I am just trying to understand. I have been travelling overseas for the past 4 years and was there for score and systematic chaos. I will be in overseas again for the release of BC&SL. I have never had issues getting music.

Are you in a location that doesnt have music stores or are you restricted?

I always use itunes to get my quick fix until I can purchase the album, in person.

I should have made myself clearer: I am biking for two months and camping with limited/no access to technology save perhaps the occasional checking of email while in an internet café. I will not be able to hear the album until I come home.
