Hi guys

I just got the Art Of Live (Queensr˙che) DVD, and of course I skipped straight to the encore set first to watch QR and DT on the same stage doing Comfortably Numb and Won't Get Fooled Again. Wow, very cool! Comfortably numb is suitably laid back, and the mix of James' and Geoff's voices suits the song well... but that's a mere opener...

Won't Get Fooled Again is awesome... I don't think the keyboard part on the original version had *quite* that many notes though :) The drum dual between MP and Scott Rockenfield is very cool, it's just all in all an awesome track. Well worth getting the DVD for, IMO :)

I had alot of trouble watching the new QR so I fastforwarded to the DT encore as well.
Without DT cameoing on this dvd it would've been the worst dvd I ever bought as QR have gone downhill as grunge wannabees in a bad way. :x

Definitely Chris DeGarmo is badly missed... Michael Wilton seems to have left what used to make him great behind. I was impressed with Mike Stone, unlike Kelly Gray he's a very good singer, albeit rather odd looking! Scott's still amazing, and Geoff's still weird. Eddie's getting old, too! It's sad, to see a band release something like Q2K after the (IMO) masterpiece that was Promised Land. Tribe is a bit of an improvement, but not a patch on the big 4 (Rage For Order, Mindcrime, Empire and Promised Land).

However, there are a great many bands much worse than QR around the place! None more so than the awful band that currently top the UK charts, The Streets, who have less talent collectively than there is in one of JR's old fingernail clippings and are just a bunch of whining little toads that I want to make serious modifications to with a steel-studded baseball bat every time I hear the song (which is a lot, on the radio at work :( )

The DT bit is undoubtedly the best bit of the DVD, but I did still find the QR stuff watchable. Maybe I'm just a bit more tolerant than you? ;-)

Music to me is more about passion than tolerance  (or jumping on the latest trends)

I still haven't got around to watch the entire dvd without need to track advance, skip...
