I've been lucky enough to find a Korg Oasys demo!

The supplier said he will sell it for 5794,95 USD.
Usually it would have costed 11144,13 USD, here in Norway.

But I'm learning all of Jordan rudess' music from Dt, and woundered if anyone knows I will be impaired in any way, if I Don't have the 88 keys, notes I can't reach etc. ?
Please comment if you know anything about this :)

Wow thats expensive!

Not familiar enough with the exact solos and such but I wouldn't think you would have too much trouble if you just had some of the programs transposed to a higher octave or something?

When learning Jordan stuff on Oasys 76, you could only be impaired by your own skills.

I think calmar even had all combis for Oasys, made to cover their songs.

Yeah, I'm very lucky :) It was the only Korg Oasys left for sale here in Norway under 11k USD. and thanks to this glories country, the government will cover the 5.5k USD throug School scollarships.
That's what I call socialism!<3

But, I was mainly thinking of the solos from SFOM and SDOIT. Where he go up and down all the time. I can transpose some of it, I gues, but I cant transpose something in the middle of a solo run. Anyone here that has learned Home, fatal tragedy, blind faith etc ?

Fatal Tragedy and Home, you're good. I don't know about Blind Faith.

Trust me, when you put your hands on the Oasys the last thing you´ll remember is if it´s possible or not to play DT solos lol Just got for it, the price is good and they soon wiil be no longer available!

If I were to get an Oasys for cheap, I wouldn't really care if I can play anyone's solos exactly the same.
It's an all-in-one machine with so many possibilities that there's a lot more you can do.... not to mention I'm almost sure there are 1&2 switch buttons that can work as transpose buttons.

EDIT: Zolhof said almost the same thing.

Don't count on it.. there's no successor in sight and the Oasys still kicks ass :) Also since only a few thousand Oasys' were sold worldwide, second hand prices won't drop either.

It looks like my supplier got the Oasys directly from Korg Europe. It was 2 Oasys 76 left, and I got one of them,so if anyone from Europe wants one, they better buy it now! Contact local supplier and ask them to talk with korg, if someone are interrested :)
