Guys it should go without saying that until music is officially released there is to be no posting of leaked songs of any kind on the forum.

Even if things do leak, don't post links or even hint at where things can be downloaded.

Threads will be deleted and warnings/bans handed out if this happens.

There are many people who don't want to know anything about the album until it's released.

Yes, that is exactly what DT needs, is for people not to mention their new album at all until it is out.

God forbid people find out that songs on the new album contain such surprises as keyboard and guitar solos, unisons, operatic vocals, a song about AA, heavy guitar riffs, lots of bass drum fills, bass that is probably really cool if you could hear it, etc... Where would the wonder be after that?

In fact, I dont think people should even talk about it after it's out. I mean, what if someone improperly downloaded it?

Oh, get off your horse. We all love DT here, and anyone looking for leaked material is someone who's going to buy the album anyway. It's about respect. If they wanted fans to hear the songs then DT would put them out there themselves. Besides, the hype comes from speculation, not knowing. If we all knew exactly what was going to be on the album, then none of us would be excited to talk about it. Rumor and speculation fuel hype, not knowledge. DT will release the songs when they want to, and until then I'll wait, and speculate.

But how do these things get leaked? I would asume there's a very tight control on such material.
I remember when SDOIT was about to be released word was that MP uploaded fake songs with the new album song titles. :biggrin:

people with promo copies simply find a way to rip it and upload it on the net. pretty bad decision.
