Wow, looks like Derek Sherinian had some issues with monitors during the Planet X set.
Oddly enough, this reinforces my thought in the gear section on bringing your own keyboard amp to every gig :D

Sorry to hear about that...and I really mean it too.

I know how that feels. It sucks when you
struggle on stage to hear yourself and the
end result dimishes any sort of musicality
and vibe!

Sounds like TJ is getting mixed reviews all over. On the PX forum people are saying that he was struggling a lot at some shows and spot on at others. Hopefully he'll keep up with the latter...

Good to hear they've got a solid bassist going full-time with them now though.
