Do you love your Alesis gear? Tell the world about it and you could win a DM5 Pro Kit with SURGE Cymbals! Just fill out the form below and upload a video of a performance (solo or group) or demonstration of you using your Alesis gear to YouTube between now and January 11, 2009 to enter the contest. Videos must cover current (not legacy) Alesis products to win, preferably from the new products page.

This seems like an interesting contest, I'll might do a new Fusion demo for this one, or submit one of my older ones. Hope to see some of the Fusion/Micron/Andromeda users here showoff in a competition entry!

Don't you mean 2009, not 2008?

Alesis means it, but it's posted wrong on the website, further down the text it is displayed correctly as 2009. But I'll edit my post for clearness.

with the Fusion technically discontinued, do you think it counts as "current (not legacy)" gear?

Qualifying products are currently available as determined by their presence on alesis.com as of December 11, 2008.

It is still listed on their Synthesizers product page (http://www.alesis.com/synths), so yes I do.

The Ion isn't listed there anymore, it's all Micron now.

I guess I could lie and say it was the micron since its almost the same sound bank

hmm the Ion is too big to just paste an Micron over it with some video editting, slim chance you'll get that to work.

You can of course make something cool on the Ion and sample it into the Fusion and making it even cooler with more effects (500 ms delays instead of 80 ms, yeah!)

I am way too busy with studying for my exams (have one tomorrow -_-) and five minutes is WAY to short to give some explanatory demo, so I just revised my 2.3 demo, I made another shred mix video. Better sounding (audio coming via my Yamaha Audiogram 3 via USB into my computer), better view at the controllers, but unfortunatly bad lightning, and no fancy cuts or anything. Just a decent shred on the Alesis Fusion 8HD's weighted keys.

So far only 6 (including mine) videos have been submitted. You can see them all here: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Alesis.com+%E2%80%9CShow+Your +Rig%E2%80%9D+Video+Competition&search_type=&aq=f

Too bad I didn't won :frown:

But the winner was my personal favourite in this competition and I guess he'll have more fun from the DM5 Pro kit than I would ever have. Congratulations Bill (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mx5GOLLrwXk)!
