I'm interested in the Korg DW-8000 cuz it's now cheap on eBay because it's an old synth, and I'm pretty low on budget...
I am also a big Kevin Moore fan, and I love his unique, warm lead sound, that's coming from the DW.

so-
my question is
Is the DW-8000 good other than the leads?
Does it (or the Sound Library) has KM's sounds or did he program them?

Thanks

well, the dw 8000 was one of the first hybrid synth. it have digital waveforms. and all the filters are analog.
KM programed that classic lead he used. doesn't comes with the keyboard.
other sound kevin used came with the dw, like the organ sound in take the time.
also the keyboard have great warmpads

I had a DW8000 until a few months ago, when I sold it to get a Trinity Rack.

It has nice, warm sounds and is not as difficult to program as one may expect. The keyboard feels nice, but is VERY noisy. Not as good as a DX7 keyboard, but still nice smei-weighted keys.
For the price you pay at the moment, you can't go wrong.

I recently saw a used one in good shape for $150.00 USD.
It's so easy to get that special KM sound. It's very simple
to program. It also uses cassette tape for loading sounds.

I have a friend who had one for studio use.
It also has some really nice organ patches.
