I've just turned 18 today, so I'm "adult" (in Poland). I must say, that I don't like it :( I feel so old, as my friend said 2 years ago: "Now I'm 18, then I'll finish college... then I'll be 30... 40 and It's over...". But bright side is I can legally buy beer now :D
Wish me luck in my "adult" life... (damn, I have to apply for my ID... :?)

Happy Birthday Lucas ! Don't feel bad about reaching adulthood, you have a long way to go before you reach "old status" and...trust me, you're not OLD yet. If it makes you feel any better, I can add some perspective to your event. The day I turned 18 you were not even born yet
(And I'm still Rocking after all these years !!)
There, that should make you feel younger, now smile and go have a beer ! :D

Don't be afraid of getting older - take a look at Jordan, he's already 46... or was it 47? However, I'm 19 and I'm not afraid of getting older. Move forward!!!

..and here I am just dying to be 19 so I'll be legal..
dude. be happy.. adult = good thing
here in canada, you have to be 16 to learn to drive.. and 19 to drink.
'course, quebec is only a few minutes away from downtown ottawa, and the age there is 18  so.. yeah..
and I have a fake id anyways.. but still.

Is there any punishment for having fake ID? In poland you can be arrested if you are 18 and still don't have ID.

Ed Żywiec to be precise. Im delighted to read that! :) But on birthday parties we prefer heavier drinks.
Well it happend... Party took place in a house of a friend of mine in a forest near Cracow. It lasted 36 hours... Now Im back on my feet again and ready for my adult life

yeah... Birthay parties... I had mine 13.07 near the lake and forest, where we had great time! Lot of friends, lot of good music (DT of course), lot of bear (and "heavier" drinks) too what wasn't good for some of my freinds, but 13 km walk at 6 o'clock to the nearest bus stop made them sober imedietly :D
I didn't know that people in chicago drink polish bear... I think you should try Tyskie - IMO the best polish bear ;)

Hmmm we enjoyed Kylie Minogue, Justin Timberlake etc during the party  Nothing made us sober....Anyway, party outside the city is the best form for eighteenth birthday (and less expesive than for example renting a club.)

Ahh Tyskie, thats another good beer. There is lots of good beers available in Chicago like Czech beers like Rebel, Czechvar and Russian beers like Baltika.
Oh and all the Polish girls in my neighborhood are very pretty.
