Hey all! After the last two successful forum games, I've decided to make things a little fun around here and, at the same time, give everyone a chance to show off their shredding skills. Don't worry, I'll take care of the mixing afterwards.
This is not a contest, per sČ. This is just to see what people sound like together shredding to one of the greatest instrumentals ever created. Hurry though, only the first eight people to reply will get a chance to shred!! All you have to do is follow this link to download a loop:
Then, follow these instructions:
1. Go into Cubase, Logic, or any DAW.
2. Open a new project.
3. Set the tempo to 125 BPM.
4. Import the loop (it's a wav file, which I'm sure all DAWs support).
5. Shred along to the loop for 8 bars AND NO MORE than 8 bars.
6. Once you've got that recorded, delete the loop you downloaded so that you are left with just your lead sound.
7. Export the project as a wav file, and post it on any web hosting service so that I can download it and mix everyone's!!
Good so far? Don't worry if you're not one of the first eight, the next 8 can get this one:
Click here to download! (http://jenius92000.x10hosting.com/loop2.wav) (Careful though, this is eight bars of 5/4!)
Just follow the same instructions as above!
This is done on a first come, first serve basis, so get going!
Good luck,
jenius_92000.
