An open letter to Ticketmaster
[sarcasm=on]
Thank you, ticketmaster for burying the tickets for Yes/DT so far down in your website that it took until today to actually find out that tickets went on sale 10 days ago. Doing searches for "Yes" and "Dream Theater" yield no results for NY State Fair. Nice to see you guys are on the ball.
I'm sure the $5.25 per-ticket "convenience" charge is forwarded to the artists who feed their families by touring. You would't keep the money yourselves, right? And just exactly how is this convenient? If I buy two tickets your costs go up $10.50? What if i want 8 tickets? Maybe you should look into using less expensive paper for those tickets.
This reminds me of another fond memory I have of doing business with you a couple summers ago for Rush tickets. Seems there was an address problem with the credit card company (their fault) that you handled by not telling anyone and just waiting for me to call in a panic wondering where my tickets were. Remember me now? I was the one who wanted the $15 convenience charge dropped due to lack of convenience. And you wouldn't. And your less than polite boss wouldn't either.
So thanks, it's been great avoiding doing business with you. I'll call a freind and have him go to the state fair box office and get me tickets. Nice to see you represent your acts well, too.
