I know that Tenori-On has been discussed by SerFox...

For a keyboardist - probably not

It would be great, to compose synth sequences etc.

I think that due to its nature (in that it's usually used to record looped sequences), it would be useful for ambient or something like noiz performances.

Jem Godfrey (the keyboardist in Frost*) is using one on their upcoming tour with Spock's Beard. In my opinion, he's a pretty damn good keyboardist. His basic setup is:

Roland Fantom G7
Roland V-Synth XT
Tenori-On

I'm sure there are other things, but he even shows this as his live rig in one of his video blogs at www.thenewcube.blogspot.com/ I just don't remember exactly which one it was. They're all worth watching again though...so I think I'll go do that!

Well I think it may be useful, as godfreys idea, just to sequence many things that are hard to play live (somethines u just need an exrtra hand) and just making it look cool with all the blinkin. I say it is useful more in a live context, mainly due to a cool factor, than in a studio, where u can do that with something else (I think u can do it with every workstationt there is), but of course its not that intuitive.

I personally, would get some other kind of sequencer, like an electribe EMX-1. First of all cuz I would be mostly sequencing drums and the electribe has way more drums, and as i understand, a better and longer sequencer.
