Does somebody have a nice Kurzweil patch for the sequence of the intro of Metropolis ? (with the kind of maracas, treebel, ...)

you should be able to do pretty much everything with just a general midi drum patch

well with the general midi of k2600, it's pretty hard to have a nice "maracas" sound

the 16th notes at the beginning? That's not supposed to be a maraca. It's a cabasa. A lot more staccato of a sound. If you just do 16th notes with the quarter notes more accented, the 8th notes a little less accented, and swing it ever so slightly (I don't know how exactly you would accomplish this on a K2600), that should do the trick. Also, if you could put a little bit of chorus on the sound, too.

Well, I feel weird replying to a threat started 6 years ago. But Why start a new one if this one is just perfect.

Does anyone know what is the patch in the first note in Metropolis part 1? It is that sound that begins with a slow attack and then fades. It begins at the same time with the maracas. I can't identify it. Is it just one note or more of a note with pitch increasing? is it a string? sounds kind of metallic, almost like a plate with slow attack. Any help would be appreciated.

probably something from the JD800 a tweaked tubular bell (reversed perhaps), i would sample it and mix it in with the shaker(either an arp or a loop)
